Niger State Government Dissolves LG Caretaker Committee
Niger state Government Thursday dissolved the local government caretaker committees in the 25 local government areas of the state.
According to the Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Ibraheem Dooba, who made this known in Minna, the caretaker Chairmen have been ordered to hand over to the Directors of Personnel Management (DPM) in the various local government councils.
"The state government has dissolved the caretaker committee of all 25 Local Government areas in the state with effect from 24th. The Caretaker Chairmen have been directed to handover to Director of Personnel Management in the local government councils," he said.
He urged the people to remain calm as they await further information from the government on the date of the local government election, adding that the DPMs will be running the local government pending when the local government election will hold.
