Gold-Plated iPhones For Nigeria’s Independence Arrive
The 53 gold-plated iPhone allegedly ordered by the Nigerian Government is said to have arrived the country according to reports.
The iPhones are said to be worth £2.65m (about N682m) from Gold and Co, a British luxury products company to mark her 53rd independence anniversary. It is however not clear who will be getting the phones.
Early this month CEO, Gold and Co Amjad Ali, told a United Kingdom newspaper, The Independent, that the Nigerian Federal Government ordered 53 gold-plated iPhone 5S mobile handsets from his firm as part of the memorabilia for the nation’s 53rd Independence anniversary on October 1, 2013.
