Cristiano Ronaldo Awarded Portugal's Highest Honour
Portugal's national football team captain and current Fifa Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry at a formal ceremony in Lisbon's presidential palace.
The Order of Prince Henry is a Portuguese form of knighthood, with Grand Officer being the third-most-senior rank of the title, behind the Grand Cross and Grand Collar.
Real Madrid forward has made 109 national team appearances and is joint leading scorer alongside the retired Pauleta with 47 goals.
Ronaldo will lead the Portuguese bid for its first international trophy at the World Cup in June.
