Nigerian Supermodel Oluchi Launches ‘Africa’s Next Top Model’

Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Orlandi was in South Africa to launch Africa’s version of Tyra Banks’ Next Top Model TV show.


Africa’s Next Top Model will seek out beauties across the continent and have them converge in Cape Town to compete for the job.

The first historic season of Africa’s Next Top Model was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa and aspiring models who want to get a chance to travel to Cape Town, South Africa must attend one of the scouting auditions taking place.

All African women are urged to audition and those whose countries not holding auditions can visit a neighbouring nation to do so.


 Audition dates and Venues:

Mozambique (Maputo) at Polana Serena Hotel on the 6th of July 2013.

South Africa (Johannesburg) at the Sandton Convention Centre on the 9th of July 2013.

Kenya (Nairobi) at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) on the 14th of July 2013.

Ghana (Accra) at the M Plaza Hotell on the 20th of July 2013.

Nigeria (Lagos) at the Federal Palace on the 23rd of July 2013.

Angola (Luanda) at the Paz Flor Cultural Centre on the 28th of July 2013.

South Africa (Cape Town) at the Cape Town Convention Centre (CTICC) on the 1st of August 2013.

Tanzania &  Ivory Coast locations yet to be announced


Applicants must be 18-27 years old at the time of application, at least 5’7″ (170cm) in height, and must not have an existing contract with a modelling agency at the time of application. Plus-sized models are eligible to apply, but no male models.
