More Than 5 Million People Download BBM for iOS, Android in Just 8 Hours
According to the official BBM Twitter account more than 5 million people have downloaded BBM for iOS and Android in just eight hours after its release. If that wasn’t crazy enough, BBM is now the No. 1 free app in the App Store.
According to Mashable, the number of downloads could be much higher than 5 million. BlackBerry only mentions that 5 million users have activated their BBM accounts, and because of the reservation system set in place by BlackBerry, this number could be much higher.
If you’d like to give BBM try, it’s available in the App Store for free. It’s not much different than any other cross platform messaging service, but it’s definitely a pioneer in the messaging category. If you’d like to know more about BBM and its features, BlackBerry has put together a bunch of helpful video tutorials that are available on its YouTube channel. Can BBM for iOS and Android save BlackBerry?
