105-Year-Old Man Finally Receives High School Diploma
In addition to celebrating his 105th birthday and his 70th wedding anniversary with wife Josie, the Philadelphia, Penn., native has finally received his high school diploma after 89 years CBS 3 of Philadelphia reports.
Mohr was a high school sophomore at Philadelphia's St. Joseph’s Preparatory School when his mother informed him that his family would be required to move from the area in order for his father to keep his job.
Mohr left high school behind, instead picking up a job to help support his family. Many years later, Mohr admitted to his daughter that his only regret was not finishing his high school career.
When teacher and St. Joseph's Prep President Bill Conners heard this story, he saw to it that Mohr received a diploma, fulfilling the man's lifelong dream.
"If I die tomorrow, I’m not going to ask the Lord for anything," Mohr told CBS 3. "He has given me everything I need over the years. I can hardly say much more than that."
