Hajj Training Mandatory for Intending Pilgrims Says NAHCOM Commissioner

Commissioner of the National Hajj Commission, Sheikh Musa Isah Lapai has said that it was now mandatory for intending pilgrims to receive training before they embark on journey to the Holy Land of Mecca.

Speaking during the official flag-off of training for intending pilgrims in Minna, the Commissioner stated that every Muslim needs basic knowledge on how to perform the obligatory act of pilgrimage.

Sheikh Musa Isah Lapai, who was the Chairman on the occasion, reminded Muslims of the need to always prepare well ahead of the time in other to avoid rush.

He advised intending pilgrims to abide by the instructions and policies of the State Pilgrims Welfare Commission in the areas of preaching, weighing and flight schedule among others.

In his brief lecture at the occasion, Dr. Abubakar Kawu Hassan of the State College of Education, Minna, stated that Hajj operation eradicates sin and poverty if it was performed properly.

He told the intending pilgrims to desist from giving bribe adding that God forbids it, and also advised them to conduct themselves well while in the Holy Land.
