"Jose Mourinho Has Embarrassed Chelsea" - Arsene Wenger

In apparent response to Jose Mourinho's comments that he is a "specialist in failure" Arsene Wenger has branded the Portuguese as 'embarrassing' with both managers finding time to take a swipe at each other.

After seeing his side defeat Liverpool 2-1 on Sunday in the fifth round of the FA Cup,Wenger responded to comments made by Mourinho that not having won a trophy in eight years could be termed a failure.

In his post match press conference,Wenger refused to be drawn into a war of words with Mourinho insisting that he never spoke in a press conference about him.

"I do not want to go into that silly, disrespectful remark. I never spoke about him in my press conference and I will not start," Wenger told BT Sport.

"The only thing I know is it's more embarrassing for Chelsea than for me."

Meanwhile, Mourinho on Saturday further stoked the fire,saying that Wenger does not respect his past.

"When he says that I am afraid of failure he is not respecting my past and because he does not respect this I do not respect his past" Mourinho told ITV prior to Chelsea's 2-0 loss to Manchester City

"That’s my answer. It’s an answer that doesn’t make me happy, but an answer that I think he deserves."
