Governor Sani Bello Ready to Complete Legislators/Commissioners Quarters

The Executive Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has expressed satisfaction with the level of work at the Legislative Quarters, 3-Arms Zone Minna, and that the state government was ready to provide the N300Million required for its completion.

Speaking while on an inspection visit to the zone, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello assured that the legislative quarters, as well as that of the commissioners, would be completed in other to ensure that the legislators and members of the state executive council do not suffer undue hardship as they assumed office.

He announced that the state government would draw an articulated water supply network, electrification as well as the sewage and drainage systems of the 3-Arms Zone.

Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, who admitted that government was a continuous process, assured that his administration would complete all viable projects left over by the government that were of direct relevance to the people.

The Governor disclosed that his administration was not contemplating carrying out investigation on any official from the immediate past government, but that where foul-plays were discovered, government would have no option than to invite anybody connected to such foul-plays for explanation.

Earlier, the General Manager of the State Housing Corporation, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Adamu revealed that the unit cost for each legislators’ quarters was put at N34Million while that of the commissioners was N7.8Million excluding the boys quarters.

He assured that, as soon as funds were made available, the remaining 17 out of the expected 27 houses for the lawmakers could be completed within four weeks.
