American Missionary 'Phyllis Sortor' Kidnapped in Kogi Has been Freed
The American missionary who was kidnapped from the Hope Academy compound in Kogi State on Monday February 23rd has been safely released to authorities and church leaders, her Free Methodist Church said in a statement on Friday.
Reverend Phyllis Sortor, a Free Methodist missionary to Nigeria, was safely released on Friday evening local time into the care of authorities and church leaders, the church said.
According to the Kogi State Police Commissioner, no ransom was paid for her freedom.
