Supporting Children Reading: Zuriel's First TV Commercial [VIDEO]
Zuriel Oduwole has featured in her first ever TV commercial, on the platform of the UNESCO Sanctioned World Book Club, in Port Harcourt - Nigeria.
It is a commercial dedicated to encouraging children to read in the absence of technology, a subject that is part of her Education Advocacy through Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand up [www.dususu.com]
Themed in gentleness, it shows her childlike, playful, yet professional angle in delivering the most basic of messages, in an artistic form. With the UN Sanctioned International Day of the Girl Child [IDGC] just round the corner on October 11th, the subject of reading, education, and child development wears a renewed urgency of purpose. Africa, but especially Nigeria and South Africa with millions of primary aged children out of school, is a strong focal point of this urgency. Watch video below:

With children like these, the future [not the present] of Nigeria, is very, very bright. Our current generation has failed terribly !!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the writer. Why cant the government develop projects that would give birth to more Zuriels. Nigeria can be truly great you know, if our children are given the strong platform to stand on. Is Zuriel not a Nigerian...so...it can be done. I am sure her parents are mighty proud of her. We are over here in London too.
