Niger State Holds First Investment Summit
The Niger State government will hold its first investment summit in Minna on Monday, September 22, 2014.
The state's Commissioner for Information, Danladi Ndayebo, who made the disclosure at a news conference yesterday, said the summit with the theme: "Building a Sustainable Business Environment in Niger State" was expected to be chaired by Governor Babangida Aliyu.
He said the summit which is organised by the Niger State One Stop Investment Agency (NS-OSIC) would bring together captains of industry and other stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond to interact with the state government officials.
Ndayebo said the forum will brainstorm on actionable plans that would accelerate economic development of the state, with specific interest in agriculture/ agro-allied businesses, infrastructure, roads, housing, energy, manufac-turing, employment generation and wealth creation.
He said the Minister of Agri-culture, Akinwunmi Adeshina, is expected to deliver the key note address of the forum which would focus on agriculture and development.
