The World cup soccer nation of Brazil is now hosting the largest single sporting event in the world. Zuriel Oduwole, the 11 year old award winning documentary film maker who arrived in Brazil 12 days ago, wisely chose to theme her current project around Football, and has gained the worlds attention.
Excitingly, she has been received and welcomed by business leaders in Brazil, made a spot feature for Brazilian TV, traveled across 3 Brazilian states, and met fans from half of the 32 nations playing in the FIFA world cup, to make the case for educating the Girl Child, while also shooting her current documentary called Follow The Ball For Education.
She was sent off yesterday in a mini carnival fashion by Brazilian fans at the Sheraton Hotel Rio de Janeiro and has now arrived in her next destination - Ethiopia, as part of the 3 continent, 6 country stop [see video + images with fans/Brazilian TV].
