Forbes: Real Madrid Ranked World's Most Valuable Sports Team
Spanish soccer club Real Madrid is the world's most valuable sports team, according to an analysis released by Forbes on Wednesday.
Valued at $3.44 billion, Real Madrid who won its 10th Champions League title in May ranks first on Forbes' annual list of "The World's 50 Most Valuable Sports Teams 2014."
Two other soccer clubs, FC Barcelona ($3.2 billion) in Spain and Manchester United ($2.81 billion) in England, round out the top three.
The valuations are based on equity, debt and venue contracts.
