APC Accuses Gov Babangida Aliyu of Wasting State Resources on Redundant Advisers

The Niger state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Babangida Aliyu of wasting the state's resources by appointing new Special Advisers that would not yield any economic value to the state.

The APC’s accusation comes on the heels of the governor’s recent pronouncement that some of his special advisers had not offered him any advice in seven years.

According to Daily Times, the state's Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Jonathan Vatsa disclosed, saying the revelation came to us as a surprise over Governors’ claims that some Special Advisers are doing nothing for the past seven years.

It is more absurd that he knows that there were Special Advisers who were not doing their jobs for seven years and still went ahead to appoint new ones to be paid from the lean resources of the state”.

Vatsa said “we are in grief how the state treasury is bleeding and they want to silence us with watery responses and statements that were not issue based, they always choose to shift ground when people desire change, the change has come to Niger state and they will see it”.

A leader who always take criticisms as a taboo and like to be praised as if he is God cannot take anybody’s advice, he will always like bootlickers, merchants of eye service and rumour mongers around him”.

The publicity secretary told Nigerlites to take consolation from God who is performing his miracle for the state as the Governor is gradually admitting his failures publicly.

He said that the PDP led government should sack those state advisers that are not performing and channel the resources meant for them to something else that will benefit Nigerlites.
