"Sanusi Lamido Destined To Be Emir of Kano" - Governor Aliyu Babangida

The Chief Servant and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has expressed surprise that some people are making so much noise over the recent appointment of the former Governor of Central Bank, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano.

Speaking while receiving guests at Government House, Minna, Governor Aliyu said the former CBN boss was destined to be what he had become and that nobody could change it.

Governor Aliyu condemned the voices of decent noting that, as Muslims, it was not proper to kick against or even show disapproval for what God had destined.

The Governor congratulated Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi over his appointment and appealed him to put those voices of decent to shame by carrying everyone along and uniting the people of Kano, a huge legacy left by his predecessor, late Ado Bayero.

He said the new emir could not afford to be partisan emphasizing that he must now ‘talk less and say more’ in view of the new role he had assumed as one of the highest authority within the traditional institution.
