"Media is Glamorizing Boko Haram" - Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani

Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani born in Enugu, Nigeria is a novelist, essayist, journalist and humorist.


As a teenager, she secretly dreamed of becoming a CIA or KGB agent. She studied Psychology at the University of Ibadan.  Her first income was from winning a writing competition at the age of 13.

She is also the author of "I Do Not Come to You by Chance," a debut novel set amidst the perilous world of Nigerian email scams. Her book won the 2010 Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Book (Africa), a Betty Trask First Book award, and was named by the Washington Post as one of the Best Books of 2009.
