APC Defeats PDP in Edo as Appeal Tribunal Uphold's Election of Council Boss
The Edo State Local Government Elections Appeal Tribunal on Saturday affirmed the election of Mr Sam Oboh of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the Chairman of Esan North East Local Government.
In his judgment, Justice John Acha, set aside the judgment of the lower tribunal which called for a rerun of the October 22, 2013 election.
Acha faulted the lower tribunal’s judgment based on technicality. The lower tribunal delivered it’s judgment on February 18, 2014.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate Mr John Yakubu, had challenged the victory of Oboh at the election.
