Niger State Government Pays Islamic Online University BA Fees for 35 Students

The Niger State Government as promised to contemporary Muslim teacher, speaker and author Dr. Bilal Philips, has paid the Islamic Online University's Bachelors of Art school fees for 35 students out of 105 students that registered from the state this semester.


Dr. Bilal Philips who was in Nigeria early this month made this confirmation via his official Facebook page earlier today. He also mentioned that as promised the Niger State Government also purchased a laptop for each of the student to enable them to study properly.

The Islamic Online University was founded by Philips as an institution that is offers an online intensive, undergraduate, and graduate courses in Islamic Studies. The university offers a four year bachelor of arts degree in Islamic studies program.

The IOU was initially launched in 2001 from UAE with an offering of a few short courses. After a five year interlude, it was restarted in 2007 from Qatar with a greater offering of completely free short courses.
