Former Media Advisor To Late Governor Yakowa Arrested, Released After 19hrs Detention

The former special adviser on media and publicity to late Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State, Mr Reuben Buhari was arrested in the state capital and taken to the Police Headquarters in Abuja.


Buhari was arrested yesterday by the Kaduna State Police Command on a directive from Abuja over an allegation of posting photographs of the recent killings in Kaura local government area of the state on his Facebook wall.

The police released the former special adviser after detaining him for about19 hours.

According to Leadership, the youths of Southern Kaduna had also accused Governor Ramalan Yero of masterminding the arrest of Buhari, saying it was a ploy to silence all Yakowa’s loyalists in the state.
