NIGER STATE: Armed Robbers Attack Chairman of Mokwa’s Residence

A group of armed robbers stormed the Chairman of Mokwa’s house in Bida last Saturday.

The robbers made away with handsets, some money and other valuables. But luck ran out for the robbers when they were pursued and apprehended by some people from the neighbourhood. The robbers were strangers to Bida and drove into the wrong place, a close, when their car was pursued by other cars and people on feet.

Two of the robbers were apprehended while others escaped. The two robbers revealed to the police that they are strangers to Bida and that they were invited to Bida by a member of their gang who is resident in Bida.

They said their Bida gang member was the one who gave them directions to the Chairman Mokwa’s house.
The police are still conducting their investigations on the aborted robbery.
