Watch Moment Diver Finds Harrison Okene Alive 3 days After Tugboat Sinks [Video]

A recently released video of Nigerian Harrison Okene the man who survived three days trapped in a sunken boat, breathing from an air bubble in May has gone viral.

The video captured the intense rescue of Okene who was a cook on board the Jascon-4 tugboat when it capsized on May 26 due to heavy Atlantic ocean swells off the coast of Nigeria.

Divers from DCN Diving were sent to search for bodies, but were surprised when one of the divers reached out to grab a hand, assuming that it belonged to another corpse, only to see it grab him back.

"He's alive, he's alive!," the diver can be heard saying in the video footage. Okene can be seen once the diver surfaces into the air pocket.

Just reassure him,” a colleague tells him. “Just reassure him. Pat him on the shoulder.”

Of the 12 people on board, Okene was the only survivor.
