Nigeria Drops to 37th in FIFA Ranking
The descent of Nigeria on the Fifa ranking continues as the team dropped from 36th place to 37th in the new listing released on the world governing body's website on Thursday.
The new rankings show that though Nigeria still had 710 points, like it had in the last released ranking in November, it still dropped by one spot.
Nigeria still remained the fourth in Africa behind Algeria, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire with 800, 849 and 918 points, respectively.

On the global ranking, Spain maintained the first spot, ahead of Germany, Argentina and Colombia, who also maintained the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
The next FIFA World ranking will be published on 16 Jan 2014.
