Abuja Roads to be Handed Over To Investors For Tolling - Abdulkadir Mohammed

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abdulkadir Mohammed, disclosed that the Abuja airport express road, Kubwa express road and the inner southern expressway in the capital city center will be handed over to investors for tolling as a way of fast tracking their completion.


Mohammed  announced this during a special tour on the ongoing projects in the territory.


The FCT Minister also disclosed that The Federal Government has approved the special Abuja economic summit to serve as a forum for unbundling the huge economic investment potentials of the capital city.

The forthcoming Abuja economic summit will open up a window for private capital in flow into the territory with a view to ensuring efficient and sustainable service delivery,” the minister said.

The economic summit, which promises to be a gathering of potential investors, captains of industry, capital market operators and finance experts, is expected to hold early next year.

The minister had, last week, disclosed that a total sum of N288 billion has been spent on the rehabilitation and expansion of the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua (Airport Road) and Murtala Muhammed (Kubwa Road) Expressways which is now to be tolled.
