National Festival of Arts and Culture NAFEST 2013 Commences in Bayelsa State
The govt and good people of Bayelsa State hosts the 27th edition of National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST 2013) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital from the 14th to 21st September 2013.
About Ten Thousand people from the 36 states and the FCT are expected to participate in this festival. The theme for NAFEST 2013 is Culture, Peace and National Transformation.

The origin of NAFEST dates back to 1970 when the Federal government organised the All Nigeria Festival of Arts as a forum to unite the diverse ethnic groups of Nigeria after the Civil war. Today NAFEST has become one of the biggest cultural events in Africa.
