Rapper 50 Cent Pleads Not Guilty to Domestic Violence Charges | Watch Music is my Spot
American Rapper 50 Cent in Los Angeles on Monday pleaded not guilty to domestic violence and vandalism charges which allegedly happened at his ex-girlfriend's home.
The star allegedly attacked the mother of his child in June and was charged with one count of misdemeanour domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanour vandalism.
The musician, real name Curtis Jackson, is said to have kicked down the door of his ex-girlfriend's home who then apparently locked herself in the bathroom.
City Attorney Mike Feuer also released a statement at the time insisting they were taking the allegations very seriously despite 50 Cent's celebrity status.
He said: "Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office."
If convicted of all charges, the rapper could face up to five years in prison and $46,000 worth of fines.
