Today 8th August 2013, millions of Muslims around Nigeria and the world mark the end of the month-long fasting of Ramadan with Eid. Muslims rejoice Eid al-Fitr on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Hijra calendar, that's, soon after the end of the month of Ramadan.

How do you celebrate Eid where you live? What are your local customs? Got any special family traditions?

Share your original photos and stories either new or from past Eid celebrations and you could be featured on The Niger Times, then stand a chance to be featured on CNN Celebrates, a series exploring the cultural events that bring people around the world all together.
