GLEE Actor Cory Monteith Died from a Lethal Overdose of Heroin and Alcohol [Details]

The information was revealed last night, but there was nothing to suggest the tragic TV star’s death was deliberate, authorities said.

Canadian Cory, 31 was found dead in his hotel room on Saturday.He had checked into rehab in April because he was hooked on prescription pills and previously admitted to struggling with addiction since he was a teenager.

Girlfriend and Glee co-star Lea Michele, 26, had been trying to keep him off drugs but his family are said to have become “alarmed” recently at his behaviour.

Following the post mortem, the coroner in Canada where he died said last night: “There is absolutely nothing at this point, no evidence, to suggest that it is anything other than the most sad and tragic accident.”

Cory was believed to be alone when he died in Vancouver after spending the evening with pals.

Celebrities posting online tributes include singer Taylor Swift  said to have dated him in 2010  who wrote: “Speechless. And for the worst reason.”

Cory’s last movie role was as a junkie in crime drama McCanick. It was shot last September and has yet to be released.
