Streetlight Project Completed and Handed Over to the Niger State Government.

Over N791Million Solar-powered Streetlight project awarded to Kernel Nigeria Limited has been completed and handed over to the Niger State Government.

The Streetlight stretched from Chanchaga Bridge to Minna City Gate through Western Bye-pass and ending at the International Airport Junction, Maikunkele

Speaking during the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Architect Adamu Jagaba commended the contractor for completing the job according to specification.

The Permanent Secretary explained that the state government was willing to further partner with the company because of its antecedents in the past which had gingered the government to award the contract to the company.

In his remarks, the contractor, Mr. Oluwoye Olawole assured the state government of quality in service delivery whenever they were called upon.

He announced that Kernel Company would open its regional office in Minna, and commended the Chief Servant, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, the staff and management of the Ministry of Works for their maturity in handling the supervision during the work.

Before the handing over, however, the Permanent Secretary for Energy and Power, Engineer Yahaya Danbaba Daudu took the management and staff round for assessment. He disclosed that the bulb was expected to last for 25 years while the battery would last for six years.
