Niger State Government Revitalizes Zungeru Amalgamation Sites Ahead of Centenary Celebration
The Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the committee on Centenary celebration, Alhaji Saidu Ndako Idris made this known when he visited the amalgamation site in Zungeru.
The SSG explained that the visit was to rediscover the amalgamation site because of its uniqueness to the country.
He expressed optimism that the forthcoming centenary celebration would foster unity among the diverse ethnic nationalities that makeup Nigeria.
In his remarks, the Head of Service, Barrister Abbas Bello stated that the present administration in the state had taken special interest in the celebration because of its significance to the development of the tourism sector in the state.
The Commissioner of Tourism and Culture, Mrs. Susan Adishetu Gana disclosed that the present administration, under the leadership of Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu had taken the development of tourism in the state with all seriousness it deserves.
