Dubai Police Launches new Lamborghini Police Car

Criminals in Dubai will now struggle to outrun Dubai Police after the force unveiled its new patrol car - a Lamborghini that can go from 0 to 100km per hour in 2.9 seconds.


The Dh2 million Aventador was revealed by Dubai Police on its Twitter feed. The force tweeted: "Latest #Dubai_Police patrols, now at your service." The car is capable of speeds of up to 350km per hour.

Pictures of the super car have now gone viral, with scores of tweets from around the world under the hashtag #onlyinDubai.

Dubai Police added a Chevrolet Camaro SS to its fleet in March, and in 2010, Abu Dhabi Police unveiled a Formula One F999 car in the force's livery.



Dubai Police is not the only force to own a Lamborghini. Italy's police force own a Lamborghini Gallardo, and in 2009, Qatar added one to its Doha Police fleet.
